Visiting the Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank (CLICK ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE)
The following week a group of our Year Five pupils visited the Food Bank, which is situated inside an old church, to help the volunteers pack some food bags and learn about the charity. The bags are prepared and made ready for quick distribution when needed.

As part of the Year Three Creative Curriculum pupils have been learning about the history and geography of Bradford. Pupils have been looking at maps and discussing the different areas and locations that are in the district of Bradford.
Pupils have also been a tour of Bradford so that they could see and experience the different landscapes and areas for themselves. As part of the tour pupils visited; Oxenhope, to see the train station, Haworth, to walk down the Main Street and learn about the Bronte heritage, Bingley St Ives, to have lunch and have a play, Baildon Moor, to enjoy the fresh air and see the beautiful landscape from Trig Point. The pupils were also driven through and made aware of the following areas; Shipley, Windhill, Thackley, Greengates, Eccleshill, Undercliffe, Thornbury, Laisterdyke, the City Centre and finally back to Copthorne in Great Horton. The pupils enjoyed the experience and learned lots about Bradford and its district.
