Engaging Families Award

In school we are currently working towards achieving the ‘Engaging Families’ award. This will help us to better support families by giving you opportunities to get involved in your child’s education.

You can find more information here:

In the new year, you received a questionnaire. We really appreciate your support in completing and returning it as your feedback and suggestions have helped us to improve our communication with parents and carers.

We have collected the responses received from the questionnaire:

  • Buggy Park- this was a 50/50 split between parent who would benefit from one and those who would not. A new buggy park will cost in excess of £1000. Therefore, we have decided to create a designated space for buggies outside of our new building for 2 year old provision. Hopefully this will happen in the next academic year when this building will be in use.
  • Information on where the school is heading- a consultation meeting has taken place with regards to the school becoming part of an academy trust.

Our main priority now is to continue to develop workshops and opportunities for parents to come into school.

Your feedback told us that you would like to see workshops around:

  • Behaviour management
  • Phonics/Reading- KS1
  • Reading in KS2
  • Child development
  • Creative writing
  • Helping your child at home in Maths and English
  • Dad’s in School

Thanks to all parents who contributed to providing feedback so that we can improve our links with families.
